Free Money, ummmm yes please!

I have recently found a new way to earn a little extra money while at home. Its so easy! With Jingit you can earn up to $10 a week by simply watching ads and answering a few question. They also have an app and have partnered with Walmart. By checking in there you can earn more! Its so easy, i've already earned $13, and have my Visa debit card coming. I plan on using this money, plus what I make off my swagbucks, to pay for stocking stuffers this christmas. I told you it was easy! Sweating myself thin!

I can be cheap. I am always looking for alternatives to things. So when I came across this pin on Pinterest http://pinterest.com/pin/109353097173177526/ I was intrigued. I have wanted to try the It Works! body wraps but couldn't bring myself to spend $100 on them. So off the store I went to gather my supplies. The lotion was only $7.48 at walmart, and CVS had the Vitamin E oil on sales B1G1. Next came my measurements. My waist is 32in and my hips 37in. I then mix the lotion and oil and lathered myself up. My husband then had fun wrapping me in saran wrap. Now comes the fun part of sitting on the couch under a blanket for an hour. The saran wrap keeps riding up though. I might have to problem solve on that though. I hope it works! I would love to see some of this extra skin from the twins disappear. I will do this a few times a week and post my results!!

The end is near?

"Yay! Only a few weeks longer till your free of nursing" I've been getting this comment a lot lately. Why? Because my twins will soon be 1. Appearently at 1 I am to cut them off, throw in the towel and tell them "No more num nums!". Why do people feel this way? The WHO recommends breastfeeding until 2 or longer. I am a huge believer and letting the child decide when they are ready. For my oldest that was at 13mos. I was devastated and cried my eyes out, but in the end he decided he was ready to be done. The twins are still nursing 6-7 times a day. I do not see weaning any time soon, and I am okay with that!

This makes it worth it!

COUPONS!!!

I am not ashamed to admit that I am a coupon addict or couponista as I like to refer to myself as. I weighed my coupon binder the other day and it weigh's 8lbs. Im very proud of that. It has become my 4th child. I just finished The Krazy Coupon Lady's Pick Another Checkout Lane. It was great. I highly recommend it for anyone who coupons. I hit up some great sales at the beginning of the month and was able to stock up on ground beef for $1.88/lb, and hamburger helper for $.66.

I also had my first money maker!!! I love that Walmart does that. Guess how much this stuff cost? $4.65! Between rollbacks, coupons and moneymakers I saved over 50%. I'm working towards cutting our grocery budget back since I am no longer working so every little bit helps. What are some of your money saving tips?

Love is not rude

Well day 6 is complete. So far things are going great. Today I needed to ask him what 3 things are that I do that irritate him. I was not to defend myself. Well go figure the first was biting my nails. Which I am trying to stop. I've kept them painted for over a week now. Go me! Two was that no matter how hard he tries I still get on his case. Three was shutting down when we start fighting, which he said he was partly to blame for since he tends to yell. I am learning a lot about myself. I am also trying very hard to correct these issues that I have.

I signed up for a Netflix free trial the other day and have started watching Breaking Bad and Weeds. Yes I know i'm a tad behind but I can't help it. Its very addicting.

Love is kind

Day 2 complete. On top of saying nothing negative you add on an act of kindness. So even though I get told last minute that I need to take one of the dogs to the vet I didn't say anything and I even made him breakfast without asking. So far so good!

Now i'm getting ready for pizza night with one of my favorite boys. Were going to watch Couragous tonight. I'm praying the twinkies go to bed early tonight. They have been whiny and cranky all day. I took them all out to go for a walk and then put the twins in the pack and play while Jaxon rode his bike around. All they did was scream and wanted to be held. I thought this would get better now that I am home all the time but its not. And they are now screaming again so until next time gang!

Love is patient

So today I started The Love Dare. So far so good. Do not say anything negative about your spouse. It was going great up until 8:30p. I put the twins to bed and then came back down. Tyler took this opportunity to start playing zombie with Jaxon, which in turn made him become a mad man. I stuck with it though. I keep my calm even though I wanted to scream at him and ask him why he would wait until I put the twins to bed to start this. Its amazing how many little things are said in one day that fall into that catergory. I am determined to stick with it and finish it this time. I am also trying to stop biting my nails, which is very hard. I've kept them painted for a week now, but still find them in my mouth numerous times a day. I am also 2lbs from my pre pregnancy weight with the twins. It is kind of bittersweet. They are nursing less and that is why I am finally losing. I am dreading the day when they decide they no longer want their nummy's. They are only 10mos though so i'm praying we do have longer. Here is to the start of the new me.

My name is Ashleigh.....

And I am a pinterest addict. Every recipe I have made over the past 2 weeks and Ty's fathers day gift, anniversary gift and card were all from there. I spend hours each day going through and pinning things like crazy. Tyler will mention something and I scream "Oh I have that pinned!" Im quite proud of myself for the things I have made off of there.
In other news the twinkies had their 9mo appt this past week. I am proud to say they are 19lbs and 20lbs. All from breast milk alone. They have quadrupled their birth weight! They have also caught up on all their milestones to their actual age and not adjusted. My babies are getting so big, before I know it they will be 1. They are crawling all over and even walking around tables and such. Its so hard to believe that at this time last year I was a miserable pregnant lady.

Until next time....

So it begins!

Today was my first offical day as a stay at home mom! I feel like I got a lot accomplished. I got the van registered, made the twinkies chicken with acorn squash (it was not a hit), cleaned the kitchen, and made a delicious chicken and artichoke lasagna. I also ordered another diaper, oops. It feels wonderful to not have my cell phone going off every 15mins. Im getting quite crafty too, i've already made 4 more wool dryer balls. I have also finally got pictures printed so I can catch up on my scrapbook.
The twinkies are both getting huge. They are both crawling and starting to pull up. I will be dead when they both start walking. Especially since the older one already gets into everything! Its going to be a very busy week. I've got an eye doc appt, the twinkies 9mo appt, and start my physical therapy for my knee. Oh the fun!

Staying Home

In 21 days I will offically be a stay at home mom. The only time I have every been home for a long period of time is during my maternity leave. I am very excited about this new start though. I have so many projects that I want to start. Planting flowers out front, working on the twins scrapbook, finally finishing a cross stitch I started years ago, and a long list of books I have on my night stand.

We also traded my precious 2010 Mazda 6 in for a 2002 Dodge conversion van. I am offically a soccer mom. Jax will not call it a van, its a "bus".

Great Cloth Diaper Swap 2012

Last Saturday I had the honor of attending the 2nd annual Great Cloth Diaper Swap. It was amazing to see so many local women that have decided to go cloth. There were 66 babies at our location. Were still waiting for the total number, were hoping to have gone over 5026 to beat last year!!!

I've been on a roll making the twinkies lots of new foods. We started doing them three times a day. I've made avacado and banana for their lunches, pears and oatmeal for breakfast, and even chicken and rice for dinner. Im quite proud of myself.

Needy Twinkies

The twinkies were so needy today! All they wanted to do was nurse, which would be fine if I didn't have diapers to wash, a kitchen to clean, and all their food for the week to make. So its now 10pm and I just got the diapers started and am finally pumping out a clogged duct. I ended up making them squash, carrots, apples, and pears for the week! I really need to get out and buy some green beans so we can add those too. I've tried to get them to use a sippy cup, but they are not having any of that. They are so much different than Jaxon, who was already using one by this age. Well I am off to clip this weeks coupons, 3 inserts!!! I know, i'm a nerd.

A serious addiction

I have a serious problem. A fluff problem. I can't stop buying them. As soon as I get home from work I have my computer opened and i'm on the swap pages like a crack addict. There are so many different designs and choices. I can't stop at just one. I have over 60 diapers right now. 60 for 3 in diapers doesn't seem like a lot (thats what I keep telling myself). So many colors, designs, and types. I've got FuzziBunz, Kawaii's, Sunbaby, GroVia, BumGenuis, and WAHM's. So ladies, what's in your stash, and how many do you have? I can't be the only one with this problem.

Turning a new leaf!

So I decide to change up the blog alittle. Welcome to the new site! Tales of a cloth diapering, exclusive breastfeeding, baby food making, twinkie and toddler handler, and all around awesome mom. I hope you enjoy it.
